We are finishing it up this week, and submitting it. Then it will be up to our editor and the staff at Carina Press to decide. We will definitely keep everyone posted. :-)

Just to give you my point of view…
I was doing a full read through of the book, trying to get a feel for that last scene that needed to be written, the happily ever after part, and I couldn’t get past page 20. There was just something wrong that I couldn’t define. I just plain didn’t like it. And, I must admit, I don’t normally have that problem. I tend to love what I/we write.
So I thought I was having a bad day, and I asked Madi to do it instead, and that’s how our conversation started. I wasn’t the only one with problems with the story.
The only thing that hurt was throwing out 50,000 words we’d written. Not because we were attached to them, because we weren’t—that was the problem!—but because that’s 50,000 words worth of time. Something Madi and I don’t have a whole lot of because of those darned day jobs, and families, and trying to have something considered a life. LOL!
I’m so glad Madi and I are best friends. We weathered this with not even a bruise (at least on my part).
The last time I had to approach a co-author with something similar…well, the book never got finished, and she never spoke to me again!
Thick skin, and a willingness to go, “Yeah, you’re right. Damn it.” *grin*

I second Anna's "Thank you" to everyone who's supported us during our writing careers.

I blush to think as a writer words fail me in expressing how much your feedback and encouragement has meant to me. (Yes, I can blush. LOL Even when writing the spicier stuff that we do. *grin*) But seriously, Anna and I have been very blessed to have publishers who believe in us and readers who write to let us know how much they've enjoyed the stories we've created. In every story, we share a bit of ourselves, and it takes a lot for writers to put that on the line for public consumption. But you all have made it worthwhile and keep us inspired to write more.

So while Anna enjoys time with her family and I do the same, we are eager to see what 2011 has in store. Here's to wishing you all a safe and happy New Year!
